Spider 3 inches  and web  5 inches from October 31st

My last "Lasting Memories" DT post- "Shelling it Out"

Today is my last day posting with the Lasting Memories Design Team. I have loved creating with these talented ladies the past year.  But  being that I have a new grandchild I will be caring for a barely 2 year old and 2 month old starting in mid December I  felt it was time to make some cut backs.  For this last challenge we are  asking you to join us for "Shelling Out."   Whether your shelling out candy for Trick or Treaters or finding Sea Shells on the beach, we would love to see them.
For my layout I used the rest of my Graphic 45 Happy Haunting
and  made a bunch of Halloween layouts.
Love these papers and the adorable little kids on the graphics.  The first two are waiting for pictures and the last three are pictures of a trip to the Pumpkin Patch
with my middle granddaughter and new grandson.
Kenzie loves her "apples" as she calls them.

Thanks again to all the lovely ladies at Lasting Memories.  I have loved creating with you and wish you all the best.  Big hugs and Happy Craftin!

CWC Treats Only- No Cards or Layouts

Don't you just love the colors of Fall?  I decided to make a Fall wreath for the Cooking with Cricut challenge this week- Treats only No cards or layouts.  This is a "paper treat" I made for a charity auction coming up at my local scrapbook store.
The base is a green styrofoam wreath I got for 50 cents at  Michaels in the clearance bin.  I covered it with the glittery mesh ribbon I had in my stash from last year.
The rolled flowers are made cutting the spiral flowers from Art Philosophy at 2 1/2  inches and rolling them with a quilling tool.  I used double sided Fall color papers from last year.
The leaves I added were cut from scraps using a large Maple leaf punch.
The star flower is also from Art Philosophy.
I hope you enjoyed my project and will join us this week for the challenge at CWC.  We love to see your projects.

BBTB2 Challenge-3-D Halloween Treat Containers

This week at BBTB2 designer Jeri  asked everyone to use any cartridge to design a 3-D Halloween treat container.  I remembered last year I saw the cutest pumpkin container made with the Sweet Tooth  Cart.  Sorry to say I wrote down the cut sizes in a book I keep but don't have the link to where I got them.  The pumpkin is the ice cream cone cuts at 9.5 and the leaves and  vines are from the Thanksgiving Seasonal cart cut at 1 3/4 inches.  The stem at 2 1/2 inches.
I used Bo Bunny Dot paper for the leaves and pumpkin to add texture.
The holder and stem are made from Kraft paper.

Please join us this week for the challenge at BBTB2.   We would love to see your Halloween treat containers.

My Last FCCB challenge- Boo Spectacular

Wow I can't believe this is my last post for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  I have been so blessed to be on the FCCB design team for well over a year.  I have also helped with Thursday Tutorials and this term with Fantabulous Friday.   I love the challenges and DT members at FCCB.  So much talent, inspiration and fun.
For the challenge this week it is the Boo Spectacular.  Make a project using black and orange.
For my project I made a witch's hat using a paper mache form from Michaels.  I covered it with black glitter paper.  The ring for the underside and the top was made using my Gypsy and two different size circles from Accent Essentials.  The cone was paper cut and formed by hand.
I then added feather trim around the base of the cone, Graphic 45 Happy Haunting paper, a bow, twine, and Spiral flowers made with the Art Philosophy cartridge cut at 2.75 inches and then formed with a quilling tool.  The edges were then inked and Stickles were added.  The vines under the flowers are from the Thanksgiving Cart.
I gave this to the owner of the LSS where I teach classes.  We didn't have time to add it to the class list.  Several store patrons really wanted one so I made three more and sold them to raise money for the charity auction the store does in December for the Navy Relief.  Each is unique in its own way.
I hope you will join us this week for the Boo Spectacular Challenge at FCCB.

LMCB " Double Take Challenge"

It's time for another fun layout challenge here at Lasting Memories.
We want to see your take on
"DOUBLE TAKE."
What does that mean??  Use 2 of the same photo or similar photos on your layouts!!  Our Design Team has taken this a few different ways.  So be sure to check back tomorrow for our Monday Mojo to see those creations up close and personal!!
But to give you some quick ideas...
1.  Use 2 of the same photo, 1 big, 1 small.
2.  Use 2 photos of the same subject but taken at different angles.
3.  Use 2 of the same photo, one color, one black and white.
4.  Use 2 similar photos of a similar subject.
That should give you a good head start.  Be creative!  We want to see other ways to showcase those DOUBLE PHOTOS!!
For my double take layout I used two of the same picture, cut them out and  pop dotted one on top of the other to make a dimensional picture.  First time I have done this and I really liked how it came out.  I used DCWV  Summer stack  paper, Washi tape, and some sun flowers I had in my stash.  The words on the page are also cut from DCWV Summer Stack.
Here is the side view so you can see the two photos.

Can't wait to see what you create.   The challenge ends next Saturday at 6pm EST.  Make sure you link up at Lasting Memories and join in the fun.

Smorgasboard Saturday at Cooking with Cricut-Bo Bunny Christmas layout

Today is Smorgasboard Saturday at Cooking with Cricut.  I wanted to share a project that I created for classes at Scrapbook Blessings where I teach in Newbury Park, California.  The paper I used is Bo Bunny Mistletoe collections which is so bright and cheery.  The large ornaments are cut using Art Philosophy  to compliment the ornament paper.
For the ornaments on the paper I cut out ornaments from another piece of paper and pop dotted them.
I also used a MS holly punch, Washi tape from Michaels, twine, Stickles,
brads from Bo Bunny and ribbon.

The ribbon I used was red with a green string stitched through the center.  If you take tweezers and hold the end of the green string you can draw the ribbon in a gather to make a pretty effect.
Thank you Melin for the opportunity to share at Cooking with Cricut Smorgasboard Saturday.

The candy corn paper is from my stash.  I used Glossy Accents on the eyes and gel stitching all around.
This is the inside off the card.

Cooking with Cricut- Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

Today at Cooking with Cricut the challenge is the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown- Use pumpkins, circles and dots.  For my card I used Bo Bunny polka dot paper from the Fall Apple cider line.
I cut out a frame from Elegant Edges.  The pumpkins are from Simply Charmed and embossed and pop dotted.  I used a Peachy Keen face for the center one.  The sentiment pick of the crop is from Simply Charmed also.  The ribbon is a scrap from my stash and the wire for the pumpkins is Memory Thread.  I added a couple little gems.
Please join us this week for the challenge and link your cards up to Cooking with Cricut this week.
We would love to see your creations.

The breast cancer awareness ribbon paper I bought last year at Michaels.
I then inked the edges, added some ribbon and bling.
On the inside  I used my Cricut Imagine Word of Mouth page 22.

Lasting Memories Out of the Hat Challenge

It's time for the layout challenge at Lasting Memories.  This week the challenge is Out of the Hat.   Here are your choices and we ask that you pick four.
For my layout I chose diecut, words and phrases, ribbon,
and the colors red, orange, yellow and green.
This adorable Fall color Family paper I had in my stash.  The owl family is cut from the Cricut cart Hoot and Holler. Was so perfect since the pics are of my daughter, son in law and granddaughter  this summer (pre-arrival of baby brother this week).
I added seam binding ribbon, a vintage button, Stickles  and googly eyes.

Please join us this week for the "Out of the Hat" Challenge and link up to Lasting Memories.  We love seeing your great layouts.  Happy Craftin!
