I used a Bob Bunny embellishment, twine, and a Happy Birthday stamp.
Quick and simple.

BBTB2 Frosty the Snowman challenge

So hard to believe January is almost over.  Today at BBTB2  the design team is challenging you to make a "Frosty the Snowman" challenge.  I used a couple pictures my daughter gave me from a recent trip to the local zoo to play in the snow they trucked in for the event.
The snowmen and Brrrrr title are from Winter Woodland.  The snowman are cut at 6 inches and 7 inches.  The title at 4 inches.  I then added snowflake ribbon and brads from my stash.  .

Graphic 45 A Place in Time January layout class

Today I will be teaching two classes at Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park, California.
The first class is a layout class in coordination with Graphic 45.  Each month the students will make layouts and at the end of the year have a 24 page album all using Graphic 45 A Place in Time Collection.  The first page is a page designed by Graphic 45 to use in the class.  Here is the sample I made using their directions.
I then made a matching 2nd page to go with the first using the leftover Bazzil and cut apart pieces.
I just love these vintage images.

Digital Desserts Fridaze with My Paper Crafting

It's Friday so its time for Digi Desserts Fridaze here at My Paper Crafting.  I am by no means an expert at using alcohol markers and digis but I love participating in these challenges.  I use Spectrum Noir Markers and for today's challenge I used the Paper Crafting World digi Bears in an umbrella.  I just fell in love with this adorable little digi and it was perfect for this week as we are getting some rain.
The cloud paper is from my stash and I edged it in silver and light blue for the card base.
The digi is pop dotted and I added tear drop gems, ribbon, and yellow buttons.
The stamps Splashtastic and Smooth Sailing were stamped directly on the clouds.

Each week please join us for  our weekly Link-Up party.  Just create something using a digital image and link to  My Paper Crafting  If you use an image fromPaper Crafting World,  you will receive 2 chances to win. That's right! One lucky project will be selected each week to receive a single digital image from Paper Crafting World. If you use a PCW file, please add PCW after your name.

My Paper Crafting Cutter Challenge- Wintery Outdoor Fun

It's time for another great challenge here at My Paper Crafting for the Craft with Cutters Challenge.
This week the challenge is Wintery Outdoor Fun- create a wintery scene or winter activities project.
For my layout I wanted to use the gorgeous paper by Bo Bunny Powder Mountain.  We don't get a lot of snow time where I live by the beach in Southern California
but I fell in love with this paper the moment I saw it.
The Cricut cuts were made using the Winter Lace cartridge at 3 inches.  I made snowflakes using Better than Acylic, embossing the cut out and then inking with Inka Gold by Viva.
I used Slate Blue and Silver.
I also used a MS snowflake punch, EK Success punch, brads, twine, and ribbon.
Snowflake in silver top left corner and right side below snowman in blue.
Another blue snowflake on left middle of page.

The Better than Acrylic was purchased from Bug Junkie
and you can read about its many uses on her blog.
She also has sheets for sale if you are interested.

Please join us this week for the challenge at My Paper Crafting.
We love to see your creations.

BBTB2 "Fontastic" Challenge

This week at BBTB2 it is my turn to select the challenge.  I decided to make it the "Fontastic"  challenge - to create a project using a favorite font.  There are so many great fonts from simple to fancy.  So break out those Cricut cartridges and lets see your fonts on your projects and link them up to BBTB2.
I gave my daughters both an Elf on a Shelf box this year to use with my grandkids.  They had a lot of fun creating mischievous places for the elves to be around the house.
I thought it would be fun to create a layout of this elf fun.
For my Project I used the font from Winter Woodland cut at 3 inches for the title  Elf on a Shelf.
I cut the top layer in dark green and the shadow layer in red.
I then highlighted the letters with a white gel pen to make them pop.
The elves were cut from  Jolly Holidays cut at 5 inches.
Closeups of elves
So make sure you stop by and see what all the designers at BBTB2  have created and what great fonts they have used.  Then add your creations to the link at BBTB2.
I am also going to link this up to Lasting Memories for the Christmas Challenge.

My Paper Crafting challenge- Bundle up baby It's Cold Outside

This has been one crazy week.  I was so lucky to go to my first CHA in Anaheim  over the weekend.  I had a total blast and saw so many amazing things.  If you would like to see pictures from CHA I took almost 500 and you can find the link on my blog post yesterday.
So now on with today's challenge at My Paper Crafting.  Today the challenge is Bundle Up Baby It's Cold Outside  which is to Create a project with winter attire. Mittens, scarves, boots, etc.
For my project I created a winter layout of pictures of two of my granddaughters sledding on the snow hill at the local zoo.  The snow was trucked in and they were having so much fun!!!!!
The mitten was cut at 5 inches from Simply Charmed page 65 and the
title Winter Fun was cut at 4 1/2 inches page 71 from Winter Woodland.
I added snowflake embellishments and some snowmen chipboard I had in my stash.  Then I used some fur trim for the bottom of the mitten and made Stickle stars on the Fun part of the title.

BBTB2 Bird and Branch

Time for another great challenge at BBTB2.  Our design team member Jayne has asked us to use a bird and a branch for our creations this week.  I found several cuts I liked but fell in loved with this adorable owl and branch.
The owl paper is cut with Elegant Edges at 11 inches and then cut in 1/2,
The owls are from Hoot N Holler cut at 4 inches for the smaller one and 5 inches for the larger one.  The branch is also cut at 5 inches.  The title Your'e a Hoot was cut at 3.5 inches.
Pictures are of my oldest grandaughter Katie who just turned 3 a week ago.

The papers are from a Mambi stack I purchased at Michaels.
Buttons from my stash.
So check out your Cricut cartridges and let's see those bird and branch creations.  Don't forget to link up to BBTB2.

My Paper Crafting and the I Feel the Love Project

Today it is time for My Paper Crafting to sponsor the I Feel the Love Project. This is a project I am sure you will want to participate in since the we all know about the
loss of life at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Here is the info about the project from our very own design team member Madison.

In loving memory, the I feel the Love Project would like to pay tribute to Victoria Leigh Soto (Vicki), a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary. She lost her life on 12.14.12, but six or seven (still to be confirmed) students in her classroom survived that day because of her selfless actions. It is those students that we will be making cards for this month. They are not to be forgotten. They too have suffered a tremendous loss and have experienced a tragedy that will forever change their lives. We will be making Valentine's Day cards/cards with hearts on them for these wonderful kids. All projects should be colorful and uplifting. These children are all first grade students.

In addition, we will be collecting cards for Ms. Soto's family. These can be pretty blank cards, thinking of you cards, or any appropriate, uplifting cards that one would send to a family member after a loss. Please be sure to sign your cards. Ms. Soto's family members include her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Soto (Carlos and Donna); her sisters, Jillian and Carlee; and her brother, Carlos Matthew. Among Ms. Soto's favorite things are the color green and flamingos.

If you would like to be a part of this project...

All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s by January 31st to:

Madison Womack
IFTL Project
P.O. Box 1203
Atascadero, CA 93423

Here are the cards I made to send for the IFTL Project.  The first three cards are from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge .
Each animal was cut at 4.5 inches and the words are also from the cart.
The owl is from page 37
The lion from page 36
The frog from page 34
I also made 5 more vintage valentines with some pictures I got in a kit last year.  I added ribbon and MS punch valentine cuts to them.
I hope you will join us for the IFTL and link up to My Paper Crafting and  I Feel the Love Project.
