New challenge at Lasting Memories-Hot, Hot, Hot

The theme for the Lasting Memories Challenges for the month of October is HOT, HOT, HOT.
The first challenge starts today with  Liquid Glass, Sitting Around a Campfire, and Sketch.
For this page I started with the sketch and used the Cricut Cartridge 3 Birds on Parade.
Sorry I don't have any pictures to add to it but I am sure I will in the future as we love making smores even in the backyard with our little metal firepit.
I made large smore sticks and added the title to the end of one stick
and cotton with brown chalk on it.
The title is also chalked on the bottom for that toasted look.
I used Glossy Accents on the flames, birds eye, beak and legs.
I embossed the bird and trees.
Here is the sketch to use for the challenge.
Check out what the other designers have created to inspire you and then join in for the weekly Sunday challenges at Lasting Memories.  You have all month to complete the challenges.

Paper Crafting World- Count your Blessings

Hello crafty friends from Suzanne at CricutcraftinGrammy .  We can officially say it's Fall now, as of September 23, but it sure doesn't feel like it in Southern California.
I love decorating for Fall and all the fun activities that go with it.
For my project I used Melin's file at PCW Count your Blessings.  I used Doodlebug  paper from last year called Happy Harvest and of course used a Fall color palette.
The paper I used for the sign was wood look paper, and then I used the cute little leaves paper which matched the PCW design and the green plaid paper.
I used scraps for the cute little pumpkins and leaves so I  had different colors of orange, tan, and green.  I embossed and inked each pumpkin and leaf.  For ink I used Quick Quotes Powder Puff Inks.
The little tags are from the Doodlebug Happy Harvest sticker page and I matted then and them pop dotted them.  I added two little raffia bows with brown buttons, in my stash,
at the top of the mat pages.
Now I have a page ready for some pics of the grandkids this Fall.

Thank you for stopping by at Paper Crafting World.
Please check out all the amazing files at
I hope you enjoyed my project and will join us for the challenge.
Also check out the other designer's projects each day.
September Challenge Start Up Anything Goes With Optional Twist The September "optional twist" will be to add a "stamp" of some sort. It can be a digi stamp from the shop or a stamp from another source. It is National Stamp Month for September. Again, it is optional.

Thanks so much for stopping by at Paper Crafting World.  I hope you liked my project and will come back and join us each day.  Also don't forget the challenge this month.
 Happy Craftin and Happy Fall!

Documenting Diamond pin nights

We took pictures of our adventures spending the night in the Disneyland parking lot to get the Diamond release pins.  I found the diamond cut and Diamond title on Silhouette America.  The Night part of title came from part of a title.
It was a crazy adventure but we met a lot of sweet people and it was fun.

It's time to  use those punches  at Lasting Memories for our challenge this week.  We would also like you to create a Title after a Book, Song or Movie title.
For my double page I used several different Martha Stewart punches and used the title "Happy Together" from Silhouette America.  I also fussy cut mason jars
from some paper I had to add to the page.
The pictures of grandkids Micah and Kenzie hanging out together at home and at the library.

Check out what the other designers have created this week at Lasting Memories.

Please Pray for my dear friend Brenda and her family

I won't be posting a fun project today as my heart is heavy for my dear friend Brenda from Friends Craftin with Friends.  Brenda and I met years ago on the Cricut Messageboard and we have kept in touch and developed a friendship that I really value.  Although we have never met I count her as a true true friend.  She encouraged me to start a blog and try out for design teams and I in turn encouraged her to do the same.  She has always been my number one fan.
Brenda's husband has been fighting cancer for some time now. Brenda has been at his side every minute.  Monday they found out he is to sick to try a study at Hopkins.  This was the last treatment option they had.  Dwayne will soon be receiving Hospice care to make him comfortable.   Brenda and Dwayne have six boys and many grandkids.  Please pray for them and lift them up in this very very difficult time.  That God will put His protective arms around them and give them peace in this difficult time.

Hubby was part of the wedding.
They had so much fun taking pics in the photo area.
Granddaughter Kenzie and mommy had dresses in matching colors.
Micah looked so cute in his vest.
Here is the amazing sketch.  Please check out what all the designers created at Let's Scrap.

Use Ink Splatters with mixed Alpha/Fonts Letters for Lasting Memories challenge

I had so much fun creating this layout for the Lasting Memories  #259 - September 13th -
Ink Splatters with mixed Alpha/Fonts
I dripped Ranger Alcohol inks on a white Bazzil sheet for my ink splatters.
I then used a title from Silhouette America which was different fonts for the title.
I cut the title apart for my layout and double matted it.
I also used some embellishments I had in my stash for awhile.
The pictures are of my grandson Micah when he started the 2's class last year.
He was always so excited about his art work.

Don't forget all the challenges at Lasting Memories are for the entire month so you still have time to try out the challenge from September 7th as well as this challenge.  We hope you will join us and get your creative juices going.  Check out what the rest of the design team created at Lasting Memories.

Lasting Memories challenge-Title that tells a Story

Today at Lasting Memories we are Telling a story with our Title and distressing.
We love to spend the day at the Santa Barbara zoo
with the grandkids and feed the giraffes.
I decided to use the title A Day At the Zoo which definitely tells what we are doing.  Also the title has little chunks out of it like it is distressed.  I used my Prima distressor on some of the paper and then inked with brown ink. I also added some green leaves under the title.   The title, leaves, elephant and giraffe came from Silhouette America.
Check out what the other designers created at Lasting Memories and join us for the challenge this week and every week.  New challenges are posted each Sunday.
